Community Calendar

Candidates for Poweshiek County offices will be participating in a public forum sponsored by the Grinnell League of Women Voters (LWV) and Grinnell Chamber of Commerce on Thursday October 3rd at 7:00 PM. It will be a hy-brid forum both in person and over Zoom.  The forum will be moderated by Terese Grant.

The participating candidates are Jacki Bolen, Diana Dawley, and John Clayton for County Board of Supervisor; Missy Eilander for County Auditor; and Matthew Maschmann for County Sheriff.

Each of the candidates will have an opportunity to present opening statements and will then answer questions. As in the past few years we ask that questions be submitted by Tuesday the 1st at grinnelllwv@gmail.com We will also have index cards available at the forum for questions but priority will be given to questions submitted before the forum. Candidates will not see the questions prior to the forum.
