Is getting outside more one of your New Year's Resolutions? Don't let short days and cold weather get you down! Join us for a full moon hike or snowshoe. The full moon will rise at 5:37 on January 13th. We'll meet at the Foster Center at 5:30 - watch the moon rise over Montezuma and then head out for a hike or snowshoe walk in Diamond Lake Park.

We will only snowshoe if there are 5 or more inches of snow on the ground - but it's sure to be a fun night out regardless! We'll do a little lunar trivia, listen for owls, look for wildlife tracks and more! All ages are welcome. Hot chocolate will be available afterward.

 

RSVPs are required. Please RSVP with your name and phone number to Amy at adurbin@poweshiekcounty.org or 319-213-5607 (during business hours). If you're interested in snowshoeing let Amy know the approximate height of the people in your group so she can plan for snowshoes accordingly!
