The CERA Horticulturist assists faculty and the CERA Manager in the biological management of the Conard Environmental Research Area (CERA). Duties include carrying out restoration work and maintaining restoration equipment, overseeing the maintenance of the field station itself, and providing plant care at the CERA greenhouse and native plantings on campus. They will assist in supporting CERA’s educational mission, including applying treatments to long-term experiments, organizing materials, and preparing for laboratories. A smaller portion of the job entails supporting facilities management with maintenance of grounds on campus.
AA degree required with three years of experience required in Horticulture or Natural Resource Management or a closely related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
