Description
Overview
Performs major cleaning and refinishing of floors in assigned area, using automatic floor machines, rotary buffers, vacuum cleaners, mops, wringers, and related equipment. Strips floor to base material and refinishes to glossy appearance. Removes stains and patch finishes floors. Shampoos carpets.
Responsibilities
Maintain hard surface floor areas:
- Sweep and wet mop all common area floors and entryways daily.
- Clean pool area and seal tile every 6 months.
- Clean floors with autoscrubber, and buffer as scheduled.
- Strip hard surface floors as scheduled.
- Finish hard surface floors as scheduled.
- Clean fitness locker room floors daily.
Maintain carpeted areas:
- Vacuum assigned area carpets daily.
- Extract all carpets as scheduled or requested.
- Remove stains and spots in carpets as requested.
Other:
- Assist other Environmental Services personnel by; transporting trash, recycling, and soiled linen as needed during each shift.
- Communicate to supervisor what supplies and materials are needed.
- Complete daily work log.
- Maintain department equipment in good working condition including rinsing out buckets and auto scrubbers, wiping down all equipment and cords after each use.
