Description

The Program Coordinator is responsible for providing a first-class guest experience for visitors to the Center for Careers, Life, and Service, including students, alumni, faculty, staff, families, community partners, and employers. This role provides mission-critical support for all CLSconstituents by serving as a conduit of CLS and campus information, programs, and resources. This position oversees daily operations to ensure the CLS runs smoothly and effectively. This individual also assists with project coordination and administrative support for program implementation utilizing various technological systems and resources. This individual responds to the constituent’s inquiries and makes appropriate referrals within the CLS and other campus resources. The Program Coordinator prepares and distributes internal and external communications and content that showcase CLS programs, events, and resources using various methods including email, e-newsletters, and web media. This position also helps maintain the CLS’s web presence and various print resources.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing the reception process, ensuring a professional welcoming first impression of CLS
  • Oversee the daily advising appointment schedule
  • Supervise Students
  • Support students making appointments with CLS advisors, and referring stakeholders to appropriate resources
  • Provide program and administrative support for CLS initiatives and programs
  • Assist Career Community teams with logistics, materials, marketing promotions, catering, etc.
  • Oversee, maintain, and troubleshoot any challenges with the Iris Photo Booth
  • Serve on cross-functional teams to support CLS
  • Ensure on-boarding completed for new hires
  • Coordinate, review, and update processes and existing guides within CLS

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
  • Three years or more professional experience in program coordination
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use multiple modes of communication effectively across all levels of constituencies
  • Works effectively in a team environment
  • Independently organizes and manages workloads in an efficient manner
  • Champions Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion


Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5 years or more professional experience in program coordination
  • Prior experience in a higher education setting
  • Previous experience supervising college students
  • Proficiency with technology applications/website development and maintenance
  • Basic graphic design tool experience
